Does anyone have any connections to the Tomkins families who lived in Christionydd Kenrick, Ruabon, Denbigshire? My direct ancestor is Elizabeth, b. 5 October 1800, daughter of John Tomkins (b. 1770) and Ann Brown. Elizabeth married 30 September 1821, at St. Mary's, Stockport, Cheshire, to William Whittaker of Romiley, Stockport, Cheshire.
Elizabeth's older siblings were Thomas (1793), Sarah (1795) and Anne (1798).
John Tomkins' parents were Edward (b. 1740-71) and Sarah (Lloyd) Tompkins, who married 18 February 1765. Siblings included Edward (1765), Thomas (1768), Jonathon (1773), and Mary (1778).
