Hi,

Cobh library have a list of all the burials at the Old Clonmel cemetery in Cobh.   There are
memorials in this cemetery to those who died in the Lusitania disaster, also a headstone for the
crew of the "Lapwing".  It has a lot of people buried here with naval connections.

You could contact the very helpful staff at the Cobh library at the following email address

cobh.library@corkcoco.ie      ( corkcoco stands for Cork County Council)

They could look up the list of memorials and see if there is one relevant to your search.

I have photographed a lot of headstones there but haven't any with a reference to "Ben Nevis" or
the "Dube" surname.

You are welcome, I hope they come up with something relevant for you.

You could also contact the Cork County library headquarters, local studies department
at   corkcountylibrary@corkcoco.ie      let them know what information you are looking for and what you have already so there won't be any duplication.

Good luck and let us know if you have traced the burial place of your ancestor.

Thank you again, Mary. I will do as you suggest and will be sure to include an enumeration of what I've tried thus far - and I'll keep you posted on my progress...

Hi Wayne,

Michael Dube is my 4th great grandfather.  If you come across any further info, I would like to know.

Thanks.

Some people photograph Cemeteries and send them to IGP to be put online to help others....

http://www.igp-web.com/IGPArchives/ire/cork/photos/tombstones/markers.htm   might be worth a try??
