Hi --- if Tom O'Keefe went back to Ireland with his parents, you may be able to find the family on either the 1901 or 1911 Irish Census.

These are free and can be found at;

This might be worth considering-

Edward O'Keefe died 1917 (occupation fertilizer manufacturer) administration granted to wife Margaret-

Possible death registration puts him as born c1837-

i wouldn't discount the Will reference just yet. Mary may have pre-deceased Edward. Margaret O'Keefe could be a second wife -- or may even refer to his daughter by her maiden name. It's worth bearing in mind on the back burner for a while - until you exhaust all other avenues. Obtaining a copy of the actual document may reveal some useful clues.

Aghadowey --- thank you SO much for the Wills link. I had no idea that the Irish Will calendar was on line.

If you look at the actual image it says 'the widow' which mean's the Edward's widow was Margaret.

 I dont think it is his daughter  as she is my husbands grandmother she m a Gordon in NZ .
i dont discount a 2nd wife either untill proven  , son was definitely a Thomas went back to Ireland I found Margaret OKeefe    now Gordon  the daughter had no relatives in NZ 1904 according to a statement she made , in Papers Past NZ
I   think Thomas will be the clue in Ireland , need to find a marriage link .
