the other way to do movements is through post office directories and electoral rolls.........  also check for gazettes.........

just a few options open for you....... ;) ;)

No results on surname profiler for Danslow:
http://gbnames.publicprofiler.org/Surnames.aspx
Some for Denslow in the SE/Somerset region.

Agree with ff that you should ignore the spelling of the surname for now, and just concentrate on tracing the family back using the facts you find from census, bmd etc. You might come to a point in history where you find the surname recorded differently, and it has just evolved to Danslow from something else. Also you will have to be flexible with spellings as they can vary even within the same document at times, the further back you go.

Does his death certificate say where he was born and how long he had lived in the State?

Also father's occupation please if you have it. Can I ask if you have Charles' marriage certificate, and if so are his parent's names the same as on his death certificate?

I dont have  a Worldwide  subscription, so cant see the deatails, but Ancestry has a record in 'Australia births' of a Ruth U Danslow.
So she was born in Australia. Perhaps someone else can find who her parents were.
Edmonds/Edmunds - mainly Sussex
DeBoo - London
Green - Suffolk
Parker - Sussex
Kemp - Essex
Farrington - Essex

Thanks so much for everyone's help. I suspect Ruth was grand-daughter of Charles James as he did have a son named Frederick. I have looked on trove but there is very little information about the Danslow's on there. I haven't actually seen his death certificate. I have only seen the index on ancestry. So I have no idea about that. I will definitely check out ancestry at the library when I have a chance. Working 6 days a week at the moment. So not much time at the moment  :(
