You can order a research cert for €4 and you can order with just his date of birth too along with James or Seamus, I'd say he was registered with the name James though....
If that doesn't bring results then get his marriage cert to check his fathers name

By chance I came across your posts while searching for info about a James/Jimmy O'Neill who could also have been known as Big Seamus. I'm new to this site and still trying to find my way around it! Did you ever find out anything about him?
