Quebec deaths
« on: Friday 21 February 14 08:55 GMT (UK) »
Hello- I'm looking for the deaths of a few distant relatives all of them were born in Bolton, Lancashire, England, and they all died in either Montreal or Trois Rivieres.

They are -  Jessie Peake, b1904 (nee Crompton) probably died in Trois Rivieres.
Philip Rushton, b1892 probably died in Montreal.
Lilly Maud Rushton, b1901 (nee Jones) probably died in Montreal.

I'm also looking for the death of the adopted daughter of Phillip and Lilly Rushton, her name was Ann Rushton and she was born in 1930 probably Trois Rivieres and I believe that she died in the mid '70s.

Kind regards Pete.

The legally adopted daughter had been living with them since 23 rd February 1932, the actually birth date given was 23 rd September 1930 , she also had another first name on the baptism which took place 26 February 1933.  Can't name here incase she is still living. The mother Lily Maud Rushton hitherto known as Helen Mary Deloughrey.
There are many passenger lists to show Philip and Lily, the last one was 18th July 1957 on a UK Return Passenger List - Montreal to Liverpool on the Carinthia. Phillip was staying 4 months and Lily 2 months they were both going to 81 Manchester Road.Bolton. Lancs. The passenger list gave no further clues.

Hi there.

There is appears to be info about Jessie, Philip, and Lily through this link to the Mount Royal Cemetery. Just enter their names. You don't need a year of death, it will come up after you click submit. You can obtain some other basic info for free. There is a nominal charge for more info. The link explains what is what.

Findagrave has these deaths/burials at Mount Royal Cemetery but no monument pics...

Lily Rushton 10 August 1986

Jessie Peake 01 March 1972

Perhaps these are the two others the OP was looking for?

Added: sorry Sandra, didn't notice you had added Lily above.

No prob - Multi-tasking and  adding whilst talking on the phone.

Prob needs verification.

Ancestry tree says Jessie Peake passed in 1970 but like you did see the 1972 entry.  Husband Jack was also marked as 1972 Three Rivers (no dates for him)
Daughter Jessie Lily Peake/Andrews -  7 June 1929 - Trois Rivieres, Quebec
passed away  20 November 1998 - Fairmont, Marion, West Virginia.  Maried to Lawrence Andrews.

Daughter Rosemary June Andrews/Savage - 1950–2002
born about 1950 -  Canada passed away 24 September 2002 - Mississauga, Ontario.
