Abingdon Agricultural Society

Just wondering whether anyone has any or knows where I can find information regarding the Abingdon Agricultural Society... I found a newspaper article online from 1872 which mentioned my Great Great Grandfather Abel Bargus who was awarded Long Servitude 1st class.

No, sorry, not much help to you. 

Another avenue, may be to contact the National Farmers Union http://www.nfuonline.com/ and see if they have details of the society, as it may have become affiliated in some way in the past.
