Hi

David will have married after 1837 so have you checked freebmd for a marriage for him

 freebmd.rootsweb.com

The 1871 and 1881 census can be found here which will help you determine his wife's name for tracing purposes

https://familysearch.org/search/collection/list?pag=&page=1&region=UNITED_KINGDOM_IRELAND

1841 ref is  HO107 Piece 1165/7  Folio 6 Page 6
1851 ref HO107 Piece 1845 Folio 198 Page 15 - unmarried and with widowed father Thomas

Not found in 1861/71/81

Freebmd has 2 David Sheppard deaths in Wilts 1856 and 1857 but not in the Amesbury RD which is where the family were living in 1841 and 1851

Hello All,

I am a Sheppard and plan to visit the Graveyard in Figeldean next month. I am the Daughter of James Everett Sheppard Jr. My father told me about Figeldean when I was a little girl and has pics of the graveyard. Are you guys Sheppards too? I'd love to learn more about our history.
