Logitech webcam C920 odd problem
« on: Thursday 27 February 14 17:10 GMT (UK) »
Hi,

Windows 7, 32bit,  PC HP6105uk, processor Intel E5200,

I have just installed the above webcam to use with Skype.  The webcam video works fine.  The audio from the C920 is fine until I put the PC to 'sleep'  upon 'wake-up' there is no audio from the webcam mic.  reboot the PC and the webcam mic functions. I can also 'reset' the mic by unplugging the webcam and re-plugging!!!  Weird.

The webcam is a USB2 device and I have tried different USB2 ports with the same result.  The PC recognises the webcam and diagnostic tests show no faults.

Can anybody offer any clues as to the problem?

Mike. :'(

Thank you japeflakes,

That info is very useful - now how do I find out any info on the chipset used in the sound card fitted to my PC?

Mike.
