Useful link Rosie99, thanks

Just checked on "Abingdon men who died in WW1" through link, see Abingdon's moved county again!

I also found a little box checked which I don't recall seeing before and I never would have checked it if I had.
It said:
"Allow this website to share anonymised data with Google and Comscore to help us better understand usage patterns"

Yes I've just been in to my account and noticed that's ticked.  Does anyone know when they implemented it?  I don't remember ever seeing it on the old site but didn't often access my account details on there.  Being the cynic that I am, I don't believe anything is entirely anonymised whatever they say. ::)

Wasn't there a couple of months ago when I changed my password.

I wonder what the legality is to opt one in by default to something which could potentially disclose confidential information to a third party

Wasn't there when I last looked a while ago either.  I've just unchecked it. I think they should have informed us - bit like the NHS database!

I usually check details every so often but certainly missed that one.

I thought I'd advised everyone to untick that box at the same time as unticking auto-renew but I've been on so many sites recently with that info, perhaps I missed out Rootschat.  It is certainly a new addition and a bit sneaky if you ask me.
