Writing on a post card
« on: Sunday 02 March 14 11:44 GMT (UK) »
Is anyone able to tell me what the message on the postcard says please?  We can read some of it but not quite all.  It's a pc sent to my grandmother in 1902.

Moville is in Co. Donegal. What's the postmark, Janet?

The pc was sent from Bootle, which is where my grandmother was born.  I think that Jane Kenyon was her mother (father unknown) but my grandmother was adopted (formally or informally?) by a neighbouring Liverpool family.  I have been trying to find out more info on Jane Kenyon but if she was Irish, that might explain why she has not shown on up Census records (though unfortunately Jane Kenyon is too common a name).  Thanks for your help, much appreciated.

Suggest you wait for other opinions on my suggested 'Moville' ... it may not be correct  :-\

It's a good possibility though and somewhere I can try looking, otherwise I am at a brick wall which is very frustrating!  Many thanks, Janet  : :D
