Burial Lookups in Porth area.
« on: Tuesday 04 March 14 22:10 GMT (UK) »
I think my Morgan family has been identified and was wondering if some kind people out there had access to the various burial information. I only know of Trelaw but sure there must be more.
They all seemed to live in the Cymmer, Britannia or Hafod areas.

William Morgan b1815
Maria Morgan b1815
John Morgan b1839
Janet Morgan b1841
Friswith Morgan b1843
Margaret Morgan b1853
Hannah Maria Watkins (nee Morgan) b1868
Phillip Watkins b1869

Yes, that's the right family. Would love to know where they are buried and confirm the family unit maybe together somewhere. Not in Trelaw nor Cymmer.
Maybe 'Friswith' is an unusual name to trace first, think she may have died youngish.
Cheers

Thanks Haydon for looking.
I only know what you have already seen from the census papers.
The family were living in the Porth area at the last known address in Hafod 1881 (Llanwono parish).
Maria is a fairly unusual name so that's the one I think might be easiest.
I don't know a lot about the branches of religion, but they could have been members of the local Chapel. (Baptist?)
I also don't know the area at all, living in Sussex! If you are local can you suggest any other burial sites.
The other option of course, is they are buried in the Llantrisant area, as that's where they were when first married.
Cheers.
