Coldingham Priory - Monumental Inscriptions
« on: Sunday 09 March 14 04:33 GMT (UK) »
Hi

I am interested to find out about some MI's for the surname Edgar.  My great x 3 grandfather was Alexander Edgar whose death / or maybe burial date is 19 August 1858, Harelaw, Chirnside.  I understand that he is buried in a family plot at Coldingham Priory (Z-11 ( this number may relate? ).

I have searched the Borders FHS Gravestone Index  which shows 4 stones with the name Edgar.

Any information anyone has on these stones would be very much appreciated.

Thanks

Thanks terianne for this information, much appreciated.

The wifes name is different to the one I have for my Great x 3 granddad so I don't think its his MI.  There most probably is a family connection so its good to have these details.  Another piece of jigsaw to add to the puzzle  :).
