Hello Rowley, I'm searching for this too, there doesn't seem to be evidence of any Daveys in Cardiff around this time and I've noticed some people have added the Cornish Samuel Davey to their tree as being the same person. One other thing I've noticed is there is a document on Ancestry which states that a Samuel Davey in Liskeard received payment for his apprenticeship from another Samuel Davey (his father?) in 1783 so it could make sense if he then went to work in Cardiff and got married there two years later.
