Completed - Entry in Register of B,M and deaths
« on: Thursday 13 March 14 16:00 GMT (UK) »
Hi

Can anyone tell me what "The Like to Mr John Ivey Grave" means on a Bunhill Fields register of deaths.Dated 24th February 1788. I've not seen this before, although the following record in the register say the same for another person.

I am trying to link it to this burial record  - 7th June 1786. "Mr John Ivey from Leather Lane in a grave"
John was my 5x Gr Grandfathers employer.

Found on Ancestry.

Many thanks

Jay

Perhaps it is a way of repeating the previous entry which also cost £1.4s

'Headstone to Mrs Ann Conders Grave'

ie they have paid for a headstone for John

Hi Rosie

Many thanks. That a good suggestion. Think I'll look through a few more pages and see if it crops up further down the register.

Jay

Update: Just looked further down the register and there are quite a few entries with the same wording
under a 'head and footstone record' so I think you're right Rosie.
