How old is Cissie Layton please?

I had an aunt called "Sis".  She was an only girl, with four brothers.  Short for sister, her real name was Bridget.

Hoping to find Cissie through this marriage.
Found a Gertrude Mary Layton birth, Q1 1873 Hull & a Gertrude Mary Layton, Q2 1877, Chelmsford
   Both need chasing up but it'll have to be tomorrow for me

Finding Gertrude on a census after her marriage to Crabb shows her to be the Chelmsford birth.

The Gertrude bn Chelmsford has a Dad called Robert in earlier censuses.

Tracing him back , here he is in 1861:
RG 9 1079  169 24

One of Roberts brothers on that census is a Richard

If you look at Richard in 1901 at RG13 1672  29  19  you see he has numerous children including a 28 yr old Cessy.

This must be the one who was bridesmaid at her cousins wedding.
 
But I think she would be too old to be the Cissy in the photo 20 years later.

This is probably her birth - Ap/Ma/Jun 1872 Chelmsford - Mary Cecilia Layton

So I would reckon we can rule out the Chelmsford newspaper references.

Fiddling with 1911 there is an Ivy Layton in Hull, also in the house a Margaret Alice - wonder if she is Cissy?

Hi Gadget...the back is plain...she was May Queen in 1921 and this is written on the back.

A portion of the same photo is in the Hull Daily Mail - Saturday 23 April 1921.

It doesn't say much:

"Miss Cissie Layton, who is well known as a member of the Ebenezer P.M choir, and also as a member of the Lily of the Valley Lodge of the Sons of Temperance. She is an ardent worker in the temperance movement and in the church, and is thus following in the train of her parents."

How about an Alice Lawton, b.c. 1902, Hull. the Margaret Alice seems to be a bit too old.
