Army Versus R.A.N. Australian Rules Football Match, Adelaide, 1944
« on: Saturday 29 March 14 06:38 GMT (UK) »
On August 26th 1944 the South Australian played an Australian Rules Football Match against Victoria at the Adelaide Oval. Leading up to that match The R.A.N. played the Army. I have a photograph of the Army Team, but unfortunately can only put a name to one player. However, I also have a fragile copy of the Football Gazette sold at the match, in which the players are named. Below you'll see a list of those names in case anyone recognises one as being their family member. I'm happy to exchange a copy of the scanned photograph and a scan of the names in return for identification of someone else in the photograph.
