Heir Hunters programme - how to contact them?
« on: Sunday 30 March 14 23:20 BST (UK) »
I've just spotted online that one of my ancestors is/was being sought by Heir Hunters in March 2013.  I've looked at the BBC site for the programme and at the programme maker's site but I can't find any info on how to get in touch with them.  Any ideas?

Thanks

You should contact the Treasury Solicitor directly

https://www.gov.uk/government/organisations/bona-vacantia

you can check the unclaimed estates list there also

or there's an email address here for the production company

Did you see their contact page which had address and email and phone number for Flame (the production company)?
http://flametv.co.uk/contact-us.aspx

I doubt the production company would be that interested though as the programme is old and they have finished it.

Did the thing you saw online say which heir hunter company it was?  You may be  better contacting them instead?

Have you tried writing to the BBC? They may be able to help.

Thanks Rootschatters for your replies.  I've been given a contact name and have just followed it up, so I hope to have a reply before long.

Thanks KGarrad.  I did a search on Rootschat for Heir Hunters but didn't find anything which seemed to link to them.  That said, I haven't yet mastered the art of sending replies on the site either ...  If you can send me a link I'd be grateful.  Although I've sent a message to an individual that's been recommended to me I'd like to cover all angles.

Regards

Surely all you need to do is google the name of the Firm involved.

Celtic Research, Fraser and Fraser and all the others have their own websites and phone numbers

Fraser and Fraser are on Hatton Garden, Celtic Research have people all over the country (London, Wales, Liverpool etc.)

Fleming (Bristol) Fowler/Brain (Battersea/Bristol)    Simpson (Fulham/Clapham)  Harrison (W.London, Fulham, Clapham)  Earl & Butler  (Dublin,New Ross: Ireland)  Humphrey (All over mainly London) Hill (Reigate, Bletchingly, Redhill: Surrey)
Sell (Herts/Essex/W. London)

Lindyboo should contact the Treasury Solicitor, she could inadvertantly contact the wrong firm.
