Thank you all very much, do we know what happens to that Elizabeth? Still need to poke out the marriage certificate but he married my granny after 1911 but was already over here so Elizabeth must have passed away before that.
Thanks

Can see the marriage for James Robb 24 December 1912 father Alexander Robb occupation tailor as Isobel has posted ...

The 1881 census for 9 Morrison Street, Tradeston, Glasgow has a 4 year old James Robb, born Glasgow, who is son of Alexander Robb, Tailor and wife Margaret. In 1891 he is with his mother at 102 Eglinton Street, Glasgow age 14, occ Message Boy. Still there in 1901 age 24, occ Tinsmith ( which could equate to later being a plumber). Looked for a possible marriage between 1901 and 1911. There is a marriage in 1907 in Shettleston, Lanarkshire between a James Robb and a Janet Paulley. A Jessie Paulley age 22 died in Dennistoun, Lanarkshire in 1910. Could be a possible.

Yes i found that one too now and seems maybe more likely with the tailor being mentioned on this birth register. Im going to check with older family members see if they can remember any more details.

Think I have found him-
James Robb age 27, occ Plumber, of 102 Eglinton Street, Glasgow, parents Alexander Robb, occ Tailor ( dec'd) and Margaret Robb nee Stewart married Catherina Ann Cummings at St James Hall, Gardner Street, Glasgow on 25th Sep 1903. She was 25, a Domestic Servant, of 691 Springburn Road, Glasgow. Parents were James Cummings, Coachman ( dec'd) and Ann Cummings nee Campbell ( dec'd). witnesses were Alexander Matthew Robb and Jessie Cummings Wright.
Catherine Ann Robb or Cummings died in Gorbals, Glasgow in 1907 age 28.
