Hi Ann  :)

I don't have to time to find any more.... other than to tell you that on the marriage certificate for Lily when she married Stanley in India it does say that Samuel Knowles is her Step Father.

So, the Stanley George Herbert marriage in 1926 was wrong  ::)

Ann, where does the Lockstone name come into it, you mention her as Lily Elizabeth Lockstone in your first post.
Was there a divorce? As she is back to Rimmington on the probate reference from KGarrad. OK the probate is 1965 and you say she died in Mansfield in 1986,under Herbert ? so 2 different ladies here....unless K Garrad is talking about a LUCY and not LILY.

Think he got confused with Lucy to Lily.I had  pm and the lady said she was a Rimmington not a Lockstone and could of been written down wrong and it was the area where she once lived.But thats all she knew.

Joseph William RIMMINGTON died 24th Aug 1922 and was buried at Sutton in Ashfield Cemetery, 28th Aug 1922 - aged 50yrs, Labourer - address: 23, Beighton St, Sutton in Ashfield.

And as Larkspur has already mentioned Ann Rimmington marries Samuel Knowles in 1924.
