1891 Census
« on: Wednesday 23 April 14 16:53 BST (UK) »
I have found a possible death for Stephen SAMPLE in the 1891 census/RG124255/folio94/page15.
The page is an institution in Morpeth, it says he is a patient
Does anyone know what kind of institution it could be?
TIA.

Is he listed by just his initials SS born 1830 Blyth in 1891?

If this is Stephen then the institution is listed as the Northumberland County Lunatic Asylum.

Thank you all for your replies.
I did view the original image but there was nothing printed there and yes his initials were transcribed as S S. Now I know where it was I'll try and find any patient records there might be.
Once again many thanks.

If you were looking on Ancestry this is what you get at the top of the original image.

I viewed the image on FindMyPast where there is nothing at the top of the page.
So that explains it.  :)

There are indexes for some of the records here, but I have not checked to see if it covers the period you need.
