I drove up to Isle of Mull 3 weeks ago, stayed at W'haven Friday 11th and went close to Penrith (Jc 40) on the Saturday. :)

Evening All,  I checked out the Two Lions and you were right, it is definitely uninhabited . . .  the Lady in question lives just across the little green space but still insists it is part of the Two Lions . . .

 Hello Kincaid , has she one of the two houses that overlook the childrens play area , they are built on what was the garden of the two lions ,  regards westlass

Hi All

I thought it might be that house - they look very nicely built.

The following link shows a picture (click to enlarge) of the amazing ceiling in the old building - well worth saving. With the work carried out last year when it was at risk, the whole building looks so much better now - especially the back of the building.

What has happened to the ceiling? It was the Lonsdale coat of arms. Surely it could not have been destroyed? The Hobsons are my ancestors. Just starting to research again after a gap.
