Hanbury Parish Record Search

Edmond Toms is my great great grandfather. According to the 1871 census he was born in Hanbury Worcestershire in 1829.  I am trying to prove that the family came from Cornwall and if I could just find his fathers name, I am sure this would help. The problem with the surname Toms is that it can be recorded as Tomms, Somms, Tom and the like. It seems like looking for a needle in a haystack. I have been trying to trace some information about Edmond for years without success. Can anyone help?

Dont you have his Marriage Cert to find his Fathers name/occp?

1861 Edmund TOMBS is born c 1830, Kidderminster (Wife Louisa)
1861 Edmund Tombs is born c 1830 Bewdley (Widowed) and 1881 c 1831 Bewdley

Marriage Reg;
Sept 1851, Birmingham, 16 396, Edward TOMBS and Louisa MEACHAM on same page

Do I have the right Edmund?
1st Wife Louisa
Children;
William 1852
Edmund 1854
George 1858
Alfred 1861
Arthur 1868

1891 this one is with Son Alfred in Stourbridge.
So not the one you quoted in Leics with Wife Hannah in 1891.

If yours is the second one what Children are there and where were they born.
I cant find Edmond/Hannah pre 1891.

My apologies, got him now, with Wife Sarah nee Grocock (Marriage Reg June 1861 Leics) under TOMMS in 1881?

So yours is not the Son of Thomas/Martha;

My goodness that was quick. Thank you for your help. Does that mean that that Edmund was not born in Hanbury as he states on the census?  I really do appreciate you help.

The one married to Louisa Meacham or the one married to Sarah Grocock?

1871 Edmund is born c 1831 Ambury
1881 c 1829 Broomsgrove (Bromsgrove)
Cant find him prior to the Marriage.

Dont you have his M/C to Sarah to confirm his Fathers name/occp?

If not it might be worth getting it or maybe someone can look up these Marriages in Leics?
