Can anyone locate the 1851, 1861 and 1871 census household details for William CHISEM b abt 1846 Darlington.
Spelling may have changed as I can't locate him until 1881,1891, 1901, died 1915. married Hannah Blenkinsop 1872 Auckland

This looks like his birth which would give his parents. I cant see him again before his marriage either. Have you got the certificate - what is his father's name?

I wonder if this family is worth looking at , in 1851 they are transcribed as Chisen, but in 1861 as Chisem. I can find a birth for John, but not George. Could William have been registered as William but known as George?
