THOMAS family from Haverfordwest
« on: Saturday 03 May 14 04:16 BST (UK) »
Hi folks

This is my first attempt so please bear with me.

I am looking for information on George THOMAS who married Martha JAMES in Haverfordwest in June 1822. In particular, I am looking for confirmation on who their children were as I am getting too many conflicting returns from other search engines. If the truth is know, I just may be typing in the wrong data.  I believe one of their sons was Joseph who was transported to Tasmania in July 1843 on the Lord Petre. I also believe that George's parents could be Stephan THOMAS and Ann whose surname I cannot find. Any information will be greatly appreciated.

Hi Owen

Thank you for the response. The George THOMAS I mentioned was born in 1796 approx and Stephen THOMAS in 1766 approx. That seems to not fit in with the information you have given.

Regards

My humble apologies, clearly I had misread your posting. There is no mrge for a Stephen Thomas to Ann post 1780 - 1837 in any of the 3 parishes of Haverfordwest.
George, I note, had married 25 June 1822 to Martha James at Haverfordwest St Martin.
A Stephen Thomas married Anne Williams at Spittal in 1791 and a Stephen Thomas had married an Anne Williams at Rudbaxton in 1800.

Hi Owen. That's ok.

All I need to do now is confirm which Stephen THOMAS and Anne WILLIAMS is correct. All I know is they had a son George, who was born in 1796 in Wallwyns Castle, Pembrokeshire, Wales.

George, who was born in 1796 in Wallwyns Castle, Pembrokeshire, Wales.
A George Thomas was baptised at Walwyns Castle 16 Mar 1796.

I have to directly go off to Swansea for Cancer treatment, but if no one beats me to it, will look into the entry further on my return.
