Hello and welcome.

I see you have Robert in censuses with Matilda. I can't see a marriage. Is she one of the other surnames you mention?
Do you have Robert in earlier censuses at home?

Is it Matilda's name you want? That would be on a birth certificate.

Hi,

I found this marriage,

http://www.rootschat.com/links/0138g/

It doesn't show up on the usual GRO indices as there is a printing problem on both their records,

BELL Robert Henry shows as  9d  1091  or  9d  1094

YOUNG Matilda shows as  9d  104  or   9d  0 4   or    9d  1054

depending on where you look it up so looking at the local site seemed to work better.

There is this birth,

Matilda Ann YOUNG    Jun Q 1877    Wortley    9c  317

Wortley Registration District covered Stocksbridge.

She can be found in the 1881 in Hartlepool and 1891 in Middlesborough with her parents Frederick and Mary, let me know if you need these transcribed.

Of course getting one of the children's birth certificates is the only way to be sure.

Regards,
Daisy
