Hi, my gggrandmother is Ann Workman born circa 1834 in Kendal. Her mother was Elizabeth Workman, unmarried but Thomas Scott is noted on Ann's death cert as her father.  It's really Elizabeth that I am interested in.  She does not seem to have lived with Ann who was brought up by grandparents and I found her on census returns living as a governess in didsbury with her sister's family (If this indeed is the correct Elizabeth) But I digress.  I believe she was born around 1805 in Kendal and wondered if some kind soul would mind looking in the kendal archives for any information about her birth.  I believe that her parents were Christopher Workman and Ann Richardson but don't know for sure.  also if there are any records there pertaining to Ann's birth, that would be great too.  Hope someone has the time to have a look.  Thanks.
