Old Motherwell pub ?

Trying to find out if there was a pub called the star or the Starr inn years ago in Motherwell ?

 Hi Janeft and Welcome to rootschat,  :)

just googled the star inn , motherwell.

 there is a pub  with that name at 6 Waterside Street, Strathaven,    Motherwell     ML10 6AW
with a photo.    It looks old but not sure what era you had in mind.

Have you tried local Newspaper records.
sorry can't help further as do not know the area but I'm sure there are many others who can help.

Thank you for this but I forgot to mention I think it was near the old cinema , sort of across from the civic centre and down a bit , sorry for this but trying to find this as my husband can't remember it ,, thinks I'm dotty !!!  Very possibly right !!

the Star Inn, Motherwell was near the Rex Cinema in Windmillhill
Street
changed name a few times to The Puddler, Tully's and now called the Windmill
Paterson - Greenock
MacFarlane - Clackmannan
Strang - Clackmannan
Watchman - Torryburn
Forsyth - Stirling
Feely - Ireland
Milligan - Ireland( Down and Armagh )

LFHS has a collection of old photos of Motherwell.

They might have a photo of the Star Inn
