I am trying to find the details of my grandfathers funeral.He died 15 January 1945.He was living in Tynant,but is buried with his wife ,in Aberdare.I just want to know the details,also who went to the funeral.There was supposed to have been a family rift.I would be grateful for any information.Glen

I dont think any record is kept of who attended a funeral - unless it is a "society" affair with a newspaper report. Likewise, as to details of the funeral, there may have been a printed order of service, if the family arranged for one, but unless a member of the family kept one, there wont be any survivng record.

Hi,i want someone to look up the newspaper report,in theAberdare leader,or Llantrisant observer.I cant look it up myself.I posted on Cardiganshire page ages ago,but was told last night I would have more luck on the Glamorgan page.I thought at the time if anyone was going to the records in Aberystwyth,they would have a look for me.someone sent me my grandmothers report from Aberdare Leader,huge write up,answered many questions.glen

Aberdare and Llantrisant is Glamorgan, not Cardiganshire. Glad you got info.
