Thanks for the links Trystan,

I just used the mcafee stinger (as I have mcafee antivirus) 64 bit.
It took about 11 minutes to scan, and everything ok.

I am on Firefox browser, and with the Russian hacker scare, I was wondering if I should get more security.     My email provider is Tesco.      I have no idea if their security protects my incoming emails enough or not against this new threat.     ...I have seen recommendations to look up Get Safe Online, and they suggest quite a few choices of downloads, one of them being F Secure On Line Scanner.      Do I need this?      Or can I do without it?

Thanks Trystan.

I did my Windows 7 laptop with F-Secure (because I happen to like F-Secure!) - all clear and it also told me it had detected that I had security installed and was protected.

Did XP PC with Microsoft and again everything OK.

Handy to have those links for the future too.

Doddsie,

I've glued your question onto this post that discusses this. Yes, it's worth running one of the scanners that's listed on the GetSafeOnline site - I've also listed them near the beginning of this topic too. The F Secure Scanner is one of them.
