Finding William Walker's second marriage?
« on: Thursday 05 June 14 07:50 BST (UK) »
Hello,

I believe my great great grandfather (William Walker b. 1832 in Chelsea) married a second time after the death of his first wife (Emma Robertson b. 1835, Brompton), possibly to a woman named Clara?

He and Emma had 8 children:

WALKER, William (b. 1858 - Chelsea, London, England)
WALKER, Robert John (b. 1859 - St Luke's & Christ Church)
WALKER, Emma (b. 1861 - Chelsea, London, England)
WALKER, Edward (b. 1863 - Exeter, Devon, England)
WALKER, George Frederick (b. 1865 - Exeter, Devon, England)
WALKER, Mary (b. 1867 - Exeter, Devon, England)
WALKER, Annie (b. 1869 - Exeter, Devon, England)
WALKER, Clement Robertson (b. 1877 - St. Thomas, Exeter, Devon, England, d. 1952 - Brixworth, Northampton, Northamptonshire, England)

I would greatly appreciate any help tracing his second marriage.

Warm regards,
Erica

I see Emma is still alive in 1881

And 1891!
RG 12  1345  82  12

When does she die?

And where and when do you first see William with Clara?

I am guessing she died before 1901.

I saw William Walker b. 1832, Chelsea with Clara Walker as his spouse in 1911 on Ancestry.co.uk, but can't see the details.

Thought there may be another way to confirm this.

Have tried trawling FreeBMD, but I don't have enough details to confirm anything.

Hi

(I agreed with lizdb but too quick at typing for me)

Just in case it's relevant (she may be a relation with a big boarding house in Southend, WW a cook)

Marriage Sep 1877 Mile End 1c 1016 Harry FAGE / Rebecca Clara Harris
