I am looking for information on Katherine Butler of Willingdon sussex who married George beard 31/9/1791. looking for her family  if any one can help thanks . they had a son george too .

According to the Sussex Marriage index Katherine and George were married 31 Sept 1719 in Willingdon.
She was from Seaford and George was of the parish.  The license was issued 29 Aug 1719 and states Katherine was a spinster from Seaford and George yepo (?0 of this parish.

There are some baptisms in St Leonards, Seaford that may be yours.....
George bapt 1 Nov 1719...parents George and Catherine

Mary bapt 10 Oct 1720  (same details)
Martha bapt 4 Jan 1724/25
Elizabeth bapt 16 Sept 1727

George bapt 28 June 1730

The only baptism of a Katherine Butler that I can see (in the likely time span) was bapt 16 Oct 1695 in East Grinstead which is some way away from Seaford.  Mothers name is given as Anne Butler, no father mentioned and the notes say Poor.

There is a death of George Beard buried 19 Sept 1753, it said his occupation was boatman to Newhaven Customs.

thanks not sure if the same one , i have written proof that he was of  Eastborne  in the county of Sussex .his son was of Chailey , also called George married Mary Rootes  i am lead by family members that the early beards were quakers , i can work out my family line till i get to this George Beard , he marred Catherine Butler of Willingdean  . have nothing else to go on . thanks for your help
