Colour/resolution gone wonky!
« on: Friday 13 June 14 20:44 BST (UK) »
Hi
I've just 'allowed' Windows to restart my laptop to finish installing updates, but now the colour has faded and the text is pale and a bit fuzzy everywhere, desktop, icons, google chrome and all internet pages, even RootsChat! I've gone into the display but everything is showing as default, so I don't know what's gone wrong? Any help and advice gratefully received.
Thanks

Try this first - Shut the laptop down completely and then reboot.

FIXED THANKS Colour/resolution gone wonky!

Hi Midase
Just tried this and everything is now back to normal! Thanks! Should have just tried this first, but I get a bit panicky now when anything goes wrong because my husband had a really bad virus on his computer a couple of weeks ago and it had to go to the computer shop where it cost 75 quid to fix.
Cheers

Excellent.  :) If in doubt just go for a reboot, usually fixes most things.

All the best.
