Glasgow Workhouse Death
« on: Tuesday 17 June 14 14:18 BST (UK) »
Hi any Glaswegians out there who could help me in my quest.  I am searching for the burial site / grave of a Northern Irish man who died in the workhouse in Glasgow in 1924.  I have his death certificate which says he died of a brain haemorage in Oakbank Poorhouse 63 Possil Road Glasgow, it's more modern name was the Western General Hospital and it was pulled down in 1971.  In the 2os and 30s its were they took the poor to die.  We know he was buried in a pauper's grave, but which cemetery would that have been in??
