i wonder that its not any hint for his birthdate on the death-certificate.
I assume, people have to give their datas to a home for the elders.
i never thought, that there will me more Sigwarths in London then mine, but it seams i am wrong.
difficult to handle.

He may also have had senile dementia and could not remember how old he was or when his birthday was.

The death index after 1969 has birth date information but it is only as accurate as the informant gives to the registrar.

Hi Robin, the one we have registered in 1962 is aged 74.  By my reckoning your relative would have been around 87 if he died in 1962 so unfortunately he can’t be the same person although the name is very unusual in this country.  There are no records of any family as he died in a roman catholic nursing home and is buried in a public grave.  Re reading your email, do you mean he died in Brentford as if so he is more likely buried in Hanwell or Gunnersbury Cemetery?   Regards  Richard

this is what i received from Islington council, just in this minute...

i told him, that i found an entry at St. Pancras Cemetary regarding a Augustine Sigwarth.
he asked me then what kind of information i do have to confirm, we are talking about the same person. then i mentioned about his birthdate and his family members, then i got that above mentioned reply.

i asked him also about more details on THIS Augustine, but he did not come back with anything..

Is there in England such a frequent counting on citizens like the Census in the USA ?
Maybe this could help following the traces of Augustine Florian ...

Hi Robin,

there is a census every 10 years in the UK.

See the RootsChat Reference library for dates and some topics about the censuses
http://surname.rootschat.com/lexicon/reflib-lexicon.php?letter=*

In your topic in the german forum we gave some details of "sightings" in some of the censuses:

I've added the links here to save duplication of effort.

sorry, you are right, i wasnt in the topic for a longer time.
well, so he last time spotted in 1891 with the age of 15.
IF he would be the one who came to Chile and USA, he would not be in the 1911 census any more but isnt there one between those years ?
Also another one closer to his death date, what trackes the 1962-died-Florian back ?
