Cellan (now in Ceredigion) Wales
« on: Friday 27 June 14 08:05 BST (UK) »
Can anyone share old photos of All Saints Church, Cellan and perhaps the old Vicarage please? Any photos of Ty Mawer, Cellan and perhaps the Davies family that lived there? Also there was a Shoemaker living at the house - any pictures or info will be appreciated, thanks Graham (*)

Thanks for the picture link Stan.  We have found this picture and alo the one of the House to the right of the Church (former Inn??) however we are contemplating buying the House to the left named Tymawr. We understand that Tymawr may have been the former Rectory and it was also a Shoemakers home. In the late 1700's it was occupied by members of the Davies family. My wife is a Davies with very local family roots going back to the 1600's. We are trying to research what Tymawr looked like, it's history, it's former occupants and the big question......did Ancestors live there!

Thanks once again Stan. We have got it wrong. The two Rectory buildings are next to the Home we are contemplating. There is a building on the ap which is roughly where Tymawr is but it is not the same shape as the house now. Interestingly there is a Post Office and another building shown on the and of Tymawr, both are gone and there is nothing physically now to suggest they existed. Once again thans or your interest and for putting in the work to help us, it IS appreciated, G
