Found an album in my sons attic and want to reunite it to the family. Name on suitcase was Mary Pomfret Leigh Lancashire

Does the album give any clues to Mary's family, address or anything else about her.

Has an old address on of 1, Barrie St, Leigh. The suitcase looks like it's from the 60s 70s have tried to get a phone number and have written to that address no reply

I wonder if it is worth asking for an electoral register look up for around the time she was living there, it might give a clue to the family names involved.

There's a good chance there are relatives or friends still live in the area even if Mary moved away).  Why not try the local papers (www.leighjournal.co.uk perhaps? ) - they may be quite happy to put something in for you as a local interest story.
