Thomas Oddye/Oddy/Oddie
« on: Saturday 05 July 14 16:17 BST (UK) »
Hi!
Can anyone help with the following?

I am trying to find any information on a Thomas Oddye. He became Vicar of Kirby in Cleveland in 1627.

Thomas attended Cambridge University (Gunvill and Caius College) and he record says he was from Lancashire and son of Thomas and that he was 16 when he went to University in 1619?

Any help much appreciated! :D

There is a brief entry for Thomas Oddie on www.theclergydatabase.org.uk, but it doesn't add much to what you have written.

Good hunting!
Philip

Have you looked at the various Oddye/Oddie records on familysearch? None of them seem to fit with the Thomas you are looking for but they may give you some leads as to potential family members for him that could point you in the right direction for further research.

Hi!
Yes I have tried familysearch and ancestry which can sometimes leave my mind a little confused! Many thanks for your reply though, Andrew :D
