Harold became a merchant mariner; there is evidence (including matching birthday) linking him to the Berengaria in 1924 and 1928.

Elizabeth Alice Patterson of 25 Coast Rd Rhyl Flintshire widow died 25 September 1951. 

Probate Bangor 3 December 1951 to Harold Patterson shipyard engineer and Horace Mellor Wilson* commercial cashier.  Effects £8922 8s 2d.

*Horace Mellor Wilson died in 1974 aged 85.

Harold Patterson born 11 Feb 1899 died in Southampton in Sep qtr 1975 (vol 20 p 978).

As you will have seen from the information already posted on this thread, George's wife's full name was Elizabeth Alice.

What is the source of your belief that her maiden name was "O'Conner"?

It looks to me more likely that she was Elizabeth Alice Connell, daughter of Owen Connell, and that she was 23 when she married George Patterson (22, father also George) at Walton on the Hill, Lancs on 8 May 1887.

Reginald Patterson may have died 8 Jan 1960 in Southampton.  His probate record mentions an Emily Patterson, widow.
