Here is an attempt to visualize (for the surname Fitzpatrick) the location of occupiers of land in townlands within Kilkenny 1825 - 1833 using the Google Maps customization program. Unfortunately, given the poor quality index supplied by the National Archives together with changed townland spellings, it was quite a chore to make it all work. But, as you can hopefully see, with some effort it can be done.
