durham or pickering burial
« on: Sunday 13 July 14 19:41 BST (UK) »
Hi im trying to find out where my gg grandma Catherine Hayward is buried - I know she died in Durham 1899 (childbirth) but according to my late grandma she was buried in Pickering as her family had some connection to a home farm there - I have never come across Pickering in my family research - will I ever be able to find out where she was buried?

Hi,

I found this burial reference which could be for Catherine, the date fits the Jun Q death,

Catherine HAYWARD
Age:  39
Birth Date:  1860
Burial Date:  16 Apr 1899
Burial Place:  Belmont, Durham

Was she Catherine nee BULMER? If so I am also having trouble connecting her to Pickering in Yorkshire.

Regards,
Daisy

I agree, I'm sure they changed their birthplaces and ages on census forms just to confuse us ;D

Glad to have helped :)
