Welcome to rootschat Renison.

Can you give us some dates when the family lived at this address?

Don't mention names if any family members may still be alive as we are not allowed to mention living people.

Can I confirm the address?:

Bodle Street?
(where does the Green fit in?) Scrap that. I have found it on google maps as "Bodle Street Green"
Heathfield?
Sussex.

Have you checked google maps to see if you can locate the address?

I had a quick look for a John Burton in the 1911 census but can't see one at Bodle Street Green.

Can you give any more precise information about the family - more names, dates of birth, spouses, children?

I just had a thought, if you can put the image up here someone may be able to locate the house for you.

In Kelly's Directory of Sussex, 1915, for Bodle Street Green there is a John Barton, farmer, Attwood Farm. You can see the farm at https://goo.gl/maps/4HiXt

That sounds promising Stan.  :)

I would be interested to know where Renoson got the name Burton from? Are they your family? What leads you to believe that the Burtons farmed at this place between those years? And how is it that you have a photograph of the place but. No other information? :)
