This is a long shot, but as the Caroline Middleton was built in 1853 in New Brunswick and registered in Liverpool in 1854 it might be worth a search to see if plans existed and have survived along with registration documents.

The Merseyside Maritime Museum might be able to advise you on what records survive and are likely to contain: www.liverpoolmuseums.org.uk/maritime/archive/sheet/50

I have used various search engines to look for images but although there are images of passenger lists I haven't found any photographs of the ship.

Good hunting
Philip

Hi, I agree with Philip, I looked around the web with no results regarding a photograph.

Good luck with your research.

Thank-you both for your help.
This follow up is for a friend, I live in Hobart and have not been able to find any type of image here, the best i've been able to come up with is a sketch of Hobart in 1854.
