Parents of Michael Hickey and Elizabeth Blackburn
« on: Sunday 20 July 14 11:25 BST (UK) »
Dear All

I am looking for the mothers of Michael Hickey and Elizabeth Blackburn, who married on 15th May 1893, in Rathnune, Wexford. Michael is the son of John Hickey, and Elizabeth (Eliza) is the daughter of Peter Blackburne

I know that Michael and Elizabeth had children Bridget (1893), John (1895), Peter (1898), Michael (1900) and George (1902).

George married Mary Ellen Lacey on 20th April 1920 in Enniscorthy, and that Mary parents are James Lacey and Anastasia Whelan.

If anyone also know when James Lacey married Anastasia Whelan, and who their parents are, it will also be a great help.

Regards and Thanks
Stan

Not quite the right forename, but a possibility is a marriage of Alice Whelan to James Lacey (Lacy/Leacy), the RootsIreland search index has this church marriage in 1898 in the RC parish of Enniscorthy, then a daughter Mary Ellen baptised to parents with those names in 1899, again in the RC parish of Enniscorthy, record content is pay to view.

A possibility for the marriage in Familysearch:

https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/FYZD-VZN
https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/FYZX-ZT5

A possibility for the birth in FamilySearch:

https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/FBJY-7MV

A possibility for the 1901 and 1911 census records:

http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1911/Wexford/Enniscorthy_Rural/Templeshannon_part_of_rural/679437/

As I said, just a possibility, once the civil records search becomes available again at the following link (it's temporarily unavailable), I would try it:

It would appear that the civil records search isn't going to appear again as it was, due to data protection issues, sorry:
