Maybe John & Mary's son

death 20 Nov 1914 Philadelphia
Francis Tyrrell age 1 parents John & Mary Tyrrell nee DORAN
https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/JJQ6-Q3L
2243 Wallace, 15th Ward Philadelphia,  Pennsylvania

Pennsylvania, Philadelphia Marriage Indexes, 1885-1951
John Tyrrell married 1892 surname DORAN
https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/JV6M-QQS

Don't give mmn 2 other births with parents John Tyrrell & Mary

Pennsylvania, Philadelphia City Births, 1860-1906
1899 Peter Tyrrell https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/V1MW-Y4J

possible death
1905 Thomas age 2 https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/JXPH-VPJ

There appear to be two couples on the 1910 US census for  Pennsylvania
the one posted earlier appear to be a  different couple to the ones that had the above children

Here they are  on the 1910 US census with son Peter age 14 and many other children
also living with them is his brother in law John DORAN
https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/MGD5-LK6

This John Tyrrell's birth date is given as 1867 and his immigration date given as 1888

Here they are on 1900 US census
https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/M3WF-PJY
confirms married 1892, his birth year 1867 immigration 1888

Here's the other John & Mary from 1910 census Pennsylvania they are now in New York

https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/MJRX-LRR
1920 Brooklyn Assembly District 17, Kings, New York
John Tyrrell born c1875 Ireland immigration 1899
Mary Tyrrell born c1872 Ireland immigration 1982

Looking back at the  US Draft Registration 1917-1918
as nearest relative was given as his father Frank - it's more than likely John wasn't married
so the above John born 1875 could well be a different person

Wonder if this is 'your' John Tyrrell ... ?

http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GSln=tyrrell&GSfn=john&GSbyrel=all&GSdyrel=all&GSst=46&GScntry=4&GSob=n&GRid=132419701&df=all&

If that's a possibility, this is the death certificate:  https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.3.1/TH-1951-25177-143734-15?cc=1983324  It looks like the informant didn't know his date of birth or mother's name, so that seems more likely that the father's name may have been wrong.

Hi Shellyesq

Thanks for the reply - I would like to think that the death notice does refer to my John Tyrrell, the only query I have with it,  is the Fathers name is incorrect, but apart from that it does match up more or less, thanks again for the look up and I am sorry it has taken so long to get back to you.

baptism Wicklow Ireland parents Frank TYRRELL & Anne

Elizabeth 16 Jan 1872 Arklow
Michael 24 June 1873
John 12 Nov 1875
Francis 19 April 1878
Henry 2 Nov 1880

Hi, would anyone know if Johney's brother Michael in the above quote from Ladyhawk is the same Michael Tyrrell that was the Master of the Adela, which was attacked and sunk in 1917.

I have found Michael living in number 5 Oxford rd, with wife Edith and kids
http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1911/Dublin/Rathmines___Rathgar_East/Oxford_Road/39884/

Also on the Crew list for the Adela in 1915, living at the same address - 5 Oxford rd.

http://1915crewlists.rmg.co.uk/crew-member?crew_member_search%5BlastName%5D=tyrrell&crew_member_search%5BfirstName%5D=michael&crew_member_search%5BvesselName%5D=adela&crew_member_search%5Bcapacity%5D=&crew_member_search%5BbirthPlace%5D=&crew_member_search%5Bsubmit%5D

So my question is, is this the same Michael Tyrrell born to Francis and Anne, I cannot find Michael and Edith's marriage which would confirm this.
I'm not related, I'm interested in the Adela and all who sailed on her.

Michael and Edith married 1901 his father was Robert
https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/marriage_returns/marriages_1901/10328/5759941.pdf
Alfred Edgar's birth to double check Edith's surname.
https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/birth_returns/births_1907/01699/1674124.pdf

His father is a Master Mariner and Michaels address is York Road Kingstown, so this looks like his father and family in 1901
http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1901/Dublin/Kingstown/York_Street/1319744/
The number on the census is a form number which doesn't always match the house number.
