Is that her maiden name or her married name?
What is the source of your information that she is in Australia in 1867?

Hi Craclyn
Ellen had a son to a John Hutchinson. He worked as a shepherd in rural nsw. They were not married at the time in 1867 and dont think they ever did. She was still alive in 1906 when the son married. On sons death certificate her name is Nagel. Thought she may have been an Irish famine orphan. Both were 36 at time of sons birth which at time seems old to have an only child. Have been unable to find anything on her at all. Dont know if Narver or Narven is an Irish name.

Any help greatly appreciated

Have you looked at both transportation records and other immigration records? I would recommend that you consider Nagle and Neagle in addition to the names you listed in the title.

There are some Ellen Neagle records on ancestry that may be worth a closer look. I have not checked them out in detail.

The birth of her son in 1867 in rural nsw. Dont know if she was married previously. I have been looking for her for quite some time and have only just joined rootschat. Nagel appeared on sons death certificate so maybe she married later. John Hutchinson was born in Nottingham in 1831 and came here in 1858 via San Francisco. I traced him to 1878 when he was in gaol in  nsw for arson but after that nothing.

I will look on ancestry

Hope this helps
