John Carruthers Steel marriage

Hello

John Carruthers Steel was born in Brampton 1889. I have found him on all subsequent censuses after that, but I cannot find a marriage record. His middle name is spelt a bit different on the 1911 census, but it isn't a massive difference.

Any help will be appreciated

I can only see one John Carruthers Steel.

Perhaps he never married though.

It is possible, some of my family never married. If that is the case, I cannot find his death date either

There are several John Steels so it will be difficult if he doesn't yes his middle name or initial. I can only see a Carlisle death in 1976 with a birth year of 1889.

Maybe you could check family headstones.

It is likely that he never was registered along with his middle name, puzzling in that the birth record and censuses all have him with his middle name, but it seems likely
