Pryor
« on: Sunday 03 August 14 15:05 BST (UK) »
Has anyone got James Pryor born c1775 and Ann/Amelia Newell c1775 who married 1796 at St Bartholomew the Great in Middlesex London in their tree.  I am struggling to find his parents.
So as not to waste anyone's time I do have the info from the marriage onwards, apart from the death of James and Amelia/Ann.

Thank you

If you haven't already done so, a good way to make surname connections with other members is to enter your surname interests in the Surname Interests Table (SIT), and to check there whether others are researching these names.

This can be found at http://surname.rootschat.com/ , there is a link to it under "Your Tools" at the bottom of each Rootschat page.

The more people who enter their surnames, the more chance there will be of making a connection!

Do either of them survive till the 1851 census? If so, where do they say they were born?

Thank you both for your help, James Pryor is my brick wall he married by licence somebody put up a £200 bond to get this, on this she says her name is Ann but on her sons baptism record she says her name is Amelia. I cant find a marriage record for Amelia/James.
Again thank you

Confused!!  Surely you have seen the licence to know that it is in the name of Ann? And you have given us the date and place of the marriage? So doesnt that mean you do have record of the marriage?

And, to repeat my previous question, did either survive till 1851?

Sorry I didn't mean to confuse but all I can find for him stops at 1819 when his last known son was born, I have looked for his death but no joy, as for Ann/Amelia think I must be missing something thanks for trying anyway.

Who are his children and when/where were they born,so we might stand a chance of following the family through?
