Has anyone information or could help in tracing Frank Weston, stationed at St Johns Wood Army Barracks North West London in late 1943 early 1944, believed to be married with two children. Any ideas how to trace him and family most welcome.
Thank you.

Hi and welcome to Rootschat

There are a great many possible birth registrations for that name www.freebmd.org.uk

He may have been born as Francis but known as Frank

What more can you tell us about him please?

Sorry to say all the information died with my mother some years back, the only link I have is the St Johns Wood Barracks bit, I have run his name on the web site you mentioned and several possibilities have come up in just looking at the greater London area, but I don't hold out much hope as its all been left a bit late.

Hi

Even though he was stationed in the barracks - it doesn't necessarily mean he was born in the London area.  Soldiers from many areas would have been stationed there during the war.

What was his connection to your mother?

The connection was that I was the end product of the association, as I understand it, my mother found he was married and had two children and so gave up any further connection, I am not even sure he was aware of my birth, as was life then during the war, however seemingly more so nowadays without the excuse of a war!
I should imagine that he may be long gone, and given the age of his children, they would well be into their 70's if still around at all, it is one of those untied knots in ones life that would be nice to resolve one way or the other..

Hi

Unless his army number is shown (? your birth cert) the only other way I can think of is to write to the Army with what info you have and see whether they are able to help you.

Other RC members may know of other ways but you may want to read the following info
