Taylor - Valentine Marriage "COMPLETED"
« on: Thursday 07 August 14 17:01 BST (UK) »
George Taylor married Ellen Valentine 5th March 1870 at Essenden, this from IGI and no other information given.  Does any kind soul have access to the original Parish records before I bite the bullet and order the marriage certificate; although I'm not sure will help as...

IGI has two candidates - George baptised 04/02/1849 son of Johnathan and Ann or
George baptised 10th or 11th/12/1848 son of John and Fanny.

They are two separate families as 1851 has John and Fanny in Little Berkhamstead and Ann minus her husband in Essenden.

On the 1891 census George and Ellen are still classed as from Essenden with more children.
One is John aged 14 and another is Fanny aged 7.
So looks to me that this is your family you are looking for.

Apologies late reply -  ::) ::)  Thank you so much...how did I miss the 1871  ::) ::)  case of not seeing the wood for the trees.

Many thanks and yes that is the family I'm after.
